Oh yeah! She is almost as strident about his drinking as a certain gal over a C’est la Vie is about the Mona’s maybe having done things while she was in blackout drunk.

On a slightly lighter note, does anyone know if most of the beers in the pubs over there are pasteurized or not? Might explain the barkeep’s concern if they don’t pasteurize the tap beers.

Why stop with having Andy quit drinking? The cartoonists could have him quit gambling, playing violent sports, making sarcastic remarks that damage people’s self esteem, mocking the vicar, living on the dole, and so on. He and Flo could adopt a couple of orphans, vote Labour, buy an electric car, join PETA, and allow the PC police to carve another notch in their umbrella handle.

Reminds me of an old SImpsons episode…The Donut Delivery Guy brings in another shipment to the Power Plant, and notices piles of donut boxes practically untouched. He asks someone about it and he’s told that Homer is on a diet.His reaction? GASP!!! BUT I JUST BOUGHT A BOAT!!!

I have to say that I am not a fan of Andy quitting drinking, heck, I wish he still smoked. To me, this is part of Andy’s character and charm. Can you imagine, no more stumbling home late from the pub! Come on, does everything have to be so politically correct these days? Let this nonsense stop, and let Andy keep drinking! What’s next- is Flo going to become a gourmet cook? Keep it the same as it has always been!

I agree.There are still funny things to happen to Andy that don’t involve being an obnoxious drunk. Perhaps no one wants to see that.

Over the years we have had a COMIC strip called “Andy Capp.” Some of us have enjoyed it. Apparently some of us have not. Those who do, please continue watching it. Those who don’t, why do you watch it? Nobody is forcing you to. Are you just a glutton for punishment, or do you just want some excuse to make others as miserable as you apparently make yourself by watching it? Get a life.

You know, this is just a comic strip. Some of you, Andrea most of all, need to get a grip here!

Well beviek and Gweedo I have NEVER seen No.6 be offensive, and I hope he comes back as well. I have no idea what the Moderators are looking at. It used to be if you used such simple swear words as H—- and D—- you could be banned or would be banned. Now I see much worse from some, and they seem to get away with it! Cripes, way back in my first few months here back in 2008 I used the D word a few times and I got an email telling me to “cease and desist” quote, or I would be kicked off the sight.

And of course, I always miss the “hullabaloo” so I have NO IDEA what happened!

Sir/Mam<l>i am requesting that you reconsider your banning of "#6" from commenting. i understand that his joke was a bit crass and not at all P.C., but i don’t feel that he was attacking anyone on purpose. he was just doing what we all do. a fast crack and onto the next comic.and he did apologize to "raspberryice". <l>i would also suggest that in all fairness you might consider reinstating raspberryice,IF rasberryice also apologizes.we all have thin places in our skin and buttons to push (myself included) and #6s statement just pushed the wrong button at the wrong time. even tho no harm was meant.<l>one of the last statements that i saw was #6 asking if we could just drop it and move on. i think he fully understands his mistake, and it MAY be possible that raspberry ice does to.<l>so, please reinstate #6 and give raspberry ice a chance apologize, and reinstate him if he agrees to apologize also. everyone will learn from both of the mistakes made.<l>…#6 is one of those people that make your product a lot more fun than just a collection of comics. the comics brought me here. the comments keep me here. i understand that not every part of my letter to the mediators will meet every one’s approved but i feel that fair is fair. if raspberry ice apologizes, like #6 did he should be let back in ( if #6 is also let back in.) fair is fair

<;\l>we all have someone around here that irritates us. its a big enough site for all. if you can make your self walk away from the irritates. i am as guilty as anyone when it comes to getting on my high horse. you would be amazed how often i just walk away.

I made a comment earlier here that expressed my plea for number 6 to be reinstated, but it did not post. I would not be aware of it ifGweedo had not redirected me back to this strip.

I’m sorry that a comment on Lio caused such a brouhaha the other day. Number 6 is a funny and clever person, and his banning serves no purpose. I shall write to the powers that be on his behalf.
