now he just mighta made a more “buyable” candidate. wouldn’ta got as many groans from the audience, i bet.of course, that makes too much sense to a gop that’s hell-bent on getting obama reelected.
Wait a minute, don’t you realize that Clint was doing a voiceover for a car commercial? It wasn’t a political ad, no matter who tries to claim/denounce it.
It was a “car ad” that said “thank you” to Americans and asked them to work together for MORE PROGRESS! How terrible! Also, if your face and body are on camera, it ain’t a "voiceover’.
Reguardless of what the Republicans (or anyone else for that matter) think, I’m pretty sure Clint was working for the money. It isn’t as if he was shaking pom-poms while rah-rah-ing Obama, he was reading a script for a paycheck. The ad copy was written to inspire, so that feeling would be married to the product, aka Chrysler. It wouldn’t be the first time a car company used soaring nationalistic rhetoric to promote thier product. People who ascribe political motives to a $3 million+ commercial need to remind themselves of what the real aim is: To generate sales and make MONEY!
From the link you provided:“While the background of some of Wieden+Kennedy’s creative team probably will fuel further conservative suspicions, there’s also some online evidence suggesting that there was neither consultation nor collaboration between the agency and the Obama reelection campaign.”It appears the author was thinking of you…
Optimistic? An optimistic director would have shot a commercial about “The Geat Detroit Comeback” in Detroit not New Orleans. This is the message I heard from the 2-million dollar gift from Chrysler to President Obama (peace be upon Him): “we’ve had the crap beat out of us, we still getting the crap beat out of us… but hey! it’s only halftime… we can get the crap beat out of us for another 2 quarters before it’s game over. So go out there and win one for the gypper!”

Strange how neo-cons demonize positive thoughts. Hope, Optimism, Liberty, Progress…

Makes me more hopeful the easily swayed will see more truth about the republicans and then vote to reelect President Obama.
