Ok, so she’s really here. That fourth panel has a potentially ominous feel to it. You are way out of your element Blackie. Friends are scarcer then hen’s teeth around here (especially since there seem to be no more chickens) so don’t look a gift balloonist in the mouth…

I think only Flask is going to have a problem with the guy. Seems like Marx has taken a liking to Wally and Holly.

Well she’s still wearing Endtown insignias And AM seems to know what they signify But the captain’s quite hot (almost igneous) Which this fellow’s not willing to dignify Good for him — but we know now that Flask Has reactions quite often erratic When she’s challenged, or one deigns to ask Her a question. he gets more than static But mere static — or worse — doesn’t trouble This new man with his wondrous contraptions And we follow, and read each speech bubble We’re amazed at the art, need the captions =|====/ Level Head Vote for Endtown 2.0 And for Doc Rat, too The Endtown Forum And don’t forget to nominate both For Ursa Major awards!

It feels like sense they got so much time to “play” together it could mean that he is not going to let them go. Well if Flask don’t act nice he might throw her overboard… where the antfish is…. :)

Linda, you mean? She didn’t mutate into a coala (whatever that is), she mutated into a koala, and I presume she’s hanging around with Petey somewhere…

Oh, and DADOF3 – sure there are chickens. There was one right outside Wally and Holly’s window the first morning they were together.

Now, we have hit the crunch, and it is beautiful. Wally and Holly are put to bed. They deserve sleep and love. And now… Captain Flask and Aaron Marx – two spears of concentrated driving force, matter and anti-matter, north and south magnetic poles – have been buffed up and prepared for this single moment of the narrative. Flask’s resolution is dangerous, erratic and passionate. We have a long familiarity with her. We have only had a brief experience with Marx, but he already comes across as charismatic, benevolent, mercurial and in possession of unplumbed powers. They are now put head-to-head in conflict.Proceed, Mr Neathery: Regale us.

I’d like to know what Mr Neathery used as reference material in drawing the very detailed and consistent exterior and interior of the sailing ship.

Ah, good! Capt Flask is back to normal (well, normal for her anyway). I, for one, am glad to see it. I like her this way. I don’t think I’d push Aaron M. too far though. . .he knows things and how to do things. If today has the feel of a Friday strip, then what’s tomorrow going to bring? Oh boy.

After the punch in the eye, you’d think Flask would back off from trying to intimidate a bit.

Can’t remember the guys name that owned the Chocolate Factory, but this character seems to be cut out of that same bolt of creep cloth.

Flask seems to be a quick healer, no sign of that lovely shiner Holly gifted her with…

I also like Flask better when she’s got a little snarl on, but I fear Blackie is in waaaay over her head, especially since she lost her favorite management tool.

Better watch out Flask, I’ll bet you 2 to 1 that ship’s got a brig, but even if it doesn’t, I’m pretty sure he could send you places you’d never get back from.

He does have a definite Willie Wonka (Gene Wilder) feel to him. (or perhaps a Tom Bombadill feeling? Sort of “above” events – no pun intended) :-)

    @DADOF3

Definately more Tom Bombadil than Willie Wonka. He is his own master and Flask had better watch her step with him. He has true authority, whilst she has an authoritarian attitude. I wouldn’t be surprised if Aaron has a broom closet that opens into another dimension and he just might ‘sweep’ Flask into it. (Pun fully intended).

I figured it out. I had to sleep on it. He is a puppet. He mentions strings. He is also a made character because he doesn’t need sleep, like Pete. However, either he doesn’t realise what he is or he accepts it full “heartedly” and with an amazing sense of humor. I know I like him. He also is obviously not human. He hasn’t been effected by the change. Either the TS don’t know about him or have forgotten. Hmmm. Am I right"?Blessed BE

I get the feeling that “ya all” aren’t listening to what he is saying and the expressions on his face. He knows what he is and he not really likes it but accepts it. I really like him.Blessed BE

Oooo that sounds ominous ! He looks like a nice guy, but I remember that Aaron said he is not. It’s probably good that Holly and Wally be able to get some rest in.

Willy Wonka is a classic serial killer type character. He’s sinister and lures children into thematic dangerous situations where they suffer the consequences of their selfishness. He was doing Saw’s schtick before Saw. He’s supposed to be creepy. He was written by Roald Dahl to be.If we’re going to call Aaron Marx “AM”, keep in mind that Am is one of the names of God. And a divine character from Little Orphan Annie, Mr. Am. “Who are you?” “I? AM.” Some things just Are.Marx is an irresistible force and Flask is an immovable object. They have to work together, but they’re always going to be challenging each other.

knowing Aaron Marx (sort of), I’d say that an antfish is either something he made up, his pet, or both.
