As a construction inspector, I must say that Gene is exhibiting rather advanced survey techniques for a self proclaimed DIY’er…. Now if he can convince Marge that the purpose of adding that shiny new brass pole was to safely support the extra added weight of their new water bed upstairs (and definitely NOT for for the occasional entertainment procured for the monthly Ballard Street Boys Club poker night)… he just might get away with it….
Shirley is simply amazed, beyond her imagination. Gene has taken what she once considered a silly hobby to a new level. His innovative couch triangulation, coupled with advanced trigonometric principles, cutting edge theoretical physics and what Gene has coined his two handed one finger technique, has placed him on the brink of discovery. The mathematical alignment of the pyramids slopes, the angular relationship of the galaxies and the plumb bob string effect can now, not only be explained but clearly demonstrated.
Color me confuzzled. As I look at this drawing, it appears as if the vertically-aligned rod rests on top of the horizontally-aligned one. If that is so, then the h-a rod must fall to the floor. Other than by invoking cartoon physics, I cannot understand how what is shown is possible.
