Don’t be alarmed when his hands move around, either.

And yes, Big…. I guess grandfather clocks aren’t what they used to be when I was a child.

Ours was very tall and stately one, and always stood in the corner, just in case.

My mother warned us that he was a bit tightly wound, but we felt like he always had time for us.

I remember saving up to buy him a birthday present from the second hand shop.

Hey this just occurred to me:

Funny that the NEW ones are called “digital” when it’s the OLD ones that have hands.

One more thing…. and sorry to take up so much space,

But I got home late tonight, and while I was typing a response on Wednesday’s forum, Thursday’s strips came out…..

So forgive me, please, for posting it here instead:.

    Colonel — no! It doesn’t …um…. discommode me at all…. it’s embarrassing that I don’t deserve it, but it’s wonderful….

Wish I could save it in all its moving glory and hang it on my wall to look at on a rainy day!

BTW.,…. LOL….. Al Gore isn’t such a great example of old, unless you want to make ME feel old too!

And thank you, Larry… and again, everybody who said all that nice stuff….

And thanks again for the thanks, Dogsniff and it’s great to see you back from the other side of the looking glass….

I never got a chance to say I loved x_tech’s line-up… It was the BUSBY, of course….

And puns from so many…. you guys crack me up….

And I also meant to say to No. 6 — aye, the noo!

Ok…. onward to, as Dogsniff said, just being funny again…. or making an attempt. :) Good night!

A leak in Haberdashery has revealed the names of those in yesterday’s line-up. Trilby, homburg, bowler, cap, jockey, porkpie, topper, boater, busby, fez

X_tech! You were supposed to keep that information under your hat!

Today’s strip is full of clocks, and two of them are wired. That list could fall into the wrong hands.

I noticed Gramdfather is showing 7:20 on his face, the younger digital has 4:00. Prehaps senility is setting in on grandfather?

I expected grandfather to be much taller. My pleasure, SusanS, after all, it’s not every day an intriguing woman on the internet ask you to stalk her, er, bookmark her profile.Dagnabbit, the strike html tag doesn’t work here. Furthermore the spellchecker in my browser suggested Gunboat as the correct spelling for dagnabbit.!?!?And now the Steve Miller Band’s Fly Like an Eagle is runnin’ through my head.

    Hi Dogsniff,

You don’t know me, since I don’t post frequently, but I do read the comments often, and always enjoy yours. I am glad everything worked out so that you are back again! I was out the last few days, so I am only now just finding out about last week’s drama, but if I had been around I probably would have written on your behalf (I think rules can be fine things, but not when they are too strict with good people of innocent intentions). Anyway, welcome back!

    Thank you Col —

Actually I know how to do screen shots, and I highlighted, copied and pasted the whole thing into Word — but neither makes ’em move.

And I can save the individual moving gifs easily enough, but not the array.

Did you post them one image at a time or use a program that would let you put them on one page?

The former would be amazingly tedious.

I have corresponded with Dogsniff a bit since he posted his address, so he does have mine.

It’s also easy to guess.(Now THERE’s a challenge, you guys and gals.)

Dazz has it too, if anybody already corresponds with her.
