Let’s hope Poncho doesn’t meet a Greyhound today.

Love the succession of overhead stuff that covers Poncho’s bunny ears, especially the drum major who appears out of nowhere with his ear-concealing banner.

dogs don’t understand much, especially why anything would put something on its head. My wife had a chihuahua that would go ballistic any time someone was wearing a hat – even family members – That dog was el Diablo.

Good thing that apparently Boomer closed his eyes between panels or he would have seen the ears in the first panel area. Whew! But yeah, if they’re all speak dog, why wouldn’t Poncho understand what they’re saying (likely along the lines of “Attack!” or “Gotta chase that!”)? ;-)

@ciel Yes, each panel has something more and more unlikely, that just happens to conceal the ears. This reminds me of an old episode of Home Improvement when Tim’s neighbor, Wilson (whose face is normally hidden behind a fence), is out and about but we still can’t ever see his face because of a succession of improbable obstacles. Very funny, Paul! :-)
