=O Wow, maybe they should have just sent Petey out alone on this suicide mission and have him punch the rocket to submission.

Yesterday I was late, but I finally wrote more Humble pontifications on fighting a war But today it seems pointless. The rocket’s a dud And it fell, like Flask’s plans, with an echoing thud This is therefore a setup. Flask knew or suspects All the crew’d been replaced there with MUTTs (now with wrecks) But she held on to this bit of wisdom, kept quiet If this is a trap, she had chances to spy it =|====/ Level Head Vote for Endtown 2.0 And for Doc Rat, too The Endtown Forum

… if Petey’s can do that to the rocket, then why don’t they just line Endtown’s ceiling and walls with the stuff his body is made from?

Petey, the idea was to destroy both the missile and the satellite; not just the missile. Maybe if they can set the missile off to explode near the satellite and the gang way; they can destroy the launch facility.

Where’s the rocket fuel?, there should have been a huge fireball of rocket fuel?.

That was more the 1’ 57’’ minutes of punching. The rocket should have been fueled, pressurized, gangways away (which were not), and main coolant dispersal started,… …Flask’s worry,…

I think the most amazing thing that Petey did that on WHEELS. Have you EVER tried to push something while on roller blades ? End Town wins, they have a Dr. Manhattan on their side.

The rocket only just fell. It hasn’t had time to explode yet. You people are so impatient.

It’s a fake. At least it’s not fueled for actual launch. Now all the mutts make sense. The topsiders are out there somewhere, probably closing in on our little group even as we speak. The jaws of the trap are poised to snap shut. I believe the appropriate remark at this point is “I’ve got a bad feeling about this.”

    yes! i got it!

( insert embarrassing image of me dancing around living room like an idiot.)

i am rarely right about anything so please forgive, and allow my gloat. : D

as for the big boom , wait for it… need just the right spark. with just the right fuel to air mix.

unless they are using solid rocket fuel. then you need an igniter of some kind.

So where is the real rocket? Yeah, the fuel should have done something, and there was no splash and freeze (liquid) and nothing like the powder of a solid fuel rocket being abused that way.

I still don’t get Linda’s reactions so far. If she knew the rocket was fake then she should get an emmy for that performance. But to what purpose? Lull the mutants into a sense of security to make them easier to capture? If so, she’s toast too. It’s conceiveable that she hates mutants so much that she would sacrifice herself to take them out, but it seems a stretch. It’s possible that the info on the true status of the rocket was classified above her level. Either way, interrogation at this point, sans enhanced methods, will probably be fruitless. But I don’t see many alternatives.

Now here’s an interesting thought: This rocket is fake. If there is indeed another one, then that means Flask’s substitute chip went into the wrong rocket. Remember how Wally commented that nothing inside was the way Flask described it? That means the real rocket still has the proper guidance information and nothing Wally and Holly did had any impact. However, if the launch control system Flask tapped into IS real, then the real rocket should be firing off any second, ready or not. The mission objectives might yet be achieved if the real rocket is not yet properly prepped for launch. If it’s all fake, well, we’ve just wasted 5 months ;) . This story has so many twists in it Aaron must write with a corkscrew pen! Write on Mr Neathery!!!

I think that you’ll find Though it is hard to swallow This trip’s undermined: The rocket is hollow No fuel was inside Solid, liquid, or gases Does another one hide To knock them on their butts? =|====/ Level Head Vote for Endtown 2.0 And for Doc Rat, too The Endtown Forum

Remember, there are several Endtown-like communities. The TS may think they destroyed one, but they wouldn’t know which one. Also they were expecting to catch mutants around the rocket, so they are not under the impression that the mutants are eliminated. The object in the distance they are refering to is from the strip on Oct 12 I believe. It’s what Wally saw, but was unable to get Flask to look at. Totally different direction than the launch complex.
