Reps take out 500 bil from defence, banker bailouts, and subsites. Dems take out 500 bil from entitlements, arts and repressive regulatory entites. That way there is no “other guy”.

If taxes are so bad, let’s cut everything to 0% and have no roads, no police and fire departments, no armed forces, no air-traffic control, no public schools, no libraries, no Medicare…

“Repressive regulatory entites (sic)”? Let Business and Industry “self-regulate”? If they could be/ever have been trusted to do THAT, we never would have NEEDED regulatory entities.

Cut funding for the arts? Sure, that’ll save about a dime for every taxpayer in the country. If you want to save serious money, make the cuts in places where the serious money is actually GOING.

Norquist should have been a Cheney, as he is a Dick. The “tax the other guy” theme is the Teapublican mantra, and of course, PRECENT OF INCOME WISE, those paying at the low end, gripe the most. It also boils down to how much you actually HAVE LEFT after taxes and “cost of living” expenses are paid. BUT: while some “sacrifices” indeed should come in the form of slight reduction in “benefits” from large numbers of people, it should also apply to those receiving the REAL benefits: corporations.

    Exactly Frizoid.

The model where it is optional to pay for the fire department and they won’t even attempt to put out the fire in your burning house unless you’ve paid really sucks.
