I read a book as a child about a little girl who wanted to count her freckles, so she dipped her finger in ink – indelible ink – and as she counted, she’d press her ink-covered finger over each one. It’s been about 40-45 years and that story is indelibly etched in my memory. Wish I could remember the title of the book though.

Didn’t even notice when I read this at bedtime the artistry in the way the first panel is standing behind them, like a screen, and casts its own shadow.
The left and bottom edges are dotted, as though perforated or stitched. Nice!
OMG, Trout is SO funny! This is hilarious because I was just at the dermatologist this morning and she was commenting on the number of freckles/moles that I have – mine would probably spell out “Get that thing away from me!”
