Joan: Wally? Do you think I'm a good mother?
Luci: !!
!!*?
Wally: Of course!
Joan: And I think you're a good father...
Luci: !!
Joan: So who's going to take the blame for this?
Luci: ?
Both are to blame as they both chose to have children! Better to enjoy the children while they are still young. As they age, the children will become far less appealing.
Lin GeeWhiz is right — no blame, no guilt. That’s just NORMAL with two working parents and two kids, even if one parent works at home. I have a list of things I never expected to say but did. One of them is “Why is the baby yellow?” (Answer: Don’t worry, Mom, it’s washable marker.)
When stuff happens, the best thing to do, and to teach your kids is, deal with it. Why cry over spilled milk. Grab the paper towels and clean it up. And when the kids are old enough, “let” them help.
Well, if your lucky both of you. I think your family looks great! Dad helping mom, mom helping dad, both showing love and affection for each other and the kids, kids look happy and well adjusted (and yes they do). So no worries

Right, look for someone to blame. Maybe there’s plenty of blame to go around.

Actually Max is Wally’s stepson, so you can’t blame Wally for his genes. .Now, Lucy being a potty-mouth… since when can Lucy speak?
