As I remember, Linus didn’t really want the nomination, Lucy railroaded him as usual. This is just his way to sabotaje Lucy’s plan.

years before the term was invented..

Linus wins but by a whisker. His opponent in the race casts the deciding vote for Linus. Then the Principal straightens Linus out about what power and authority the Student Body President actually has (i.e. next to nothing).

Who is M.Bauchman? Do you mean Michele Bachmann? Or is this another dark-horse candidate coming to save the day?

Linus is a firm believer in the Great Pumpkin. It’s a parody of how we as Christians believe the Bible and Jesus and get mocked because of it. Sometimes, Linus used to make me wonder if there was really a Great Pumpkin. My mother made me a homemade pumpkin costume for Halloween when I was 9. I told everyone I was the Great Pumpkin. But Linus, your days as a politician are now over. AAAAGH!
