Ah, the days of audio tapes! They’re making a comeback!

Wow, this is an ooold one. Not sure which dates it more…‘tape’ or ‘Springsteen’…

Within a decade or two dvds might be unfamiliar to the ignorant youth of the future.

Aha!

Springsteen?? Never heard of him…

But Jason needs The Doctor to save him. Oh wait Doctor doesn’t save people from siblings, just aliens and invents a VHS recorder before its time.

This is going to be more then just a near-death experience all right.

Was told that Blu Ray will be the only thing in a few month. DVD’s going the way of VHS. Told by a Wal Mart associate that works in electronics

Of all the “Classic” strips here, this one is the best for nostalgic technogeeks. It does a great job of illustrating the extremely short life span of ‘cutting-edge’ technology!

Video cassettes? That makes me feel old in an age of DVDs and YouTube.

I only have a couple of movies on DVD. I have more on the original laser vision, and of course some on VHS and a handful recorded off the air on Beta tape. I still have the machines to play all of the formats. Like Falcon, I only have a standard def analog TV (with a converter box to watch stuff off the air in the event of a flood emergency). I suppose I could get a Blu-Ray drive for the computer, since my monitor will do high def.

For years I wanted to copy my 12" reel-to-reel tapes to cassette. Now I’d like to copy them to CD. Oh, technology!

Who needs hi-def TV when you no longer have hi-def eyes?
