This REALLY NICELY evokes a lot of sentimental moments during Chester Gould’s tenure. I am so happy with how much better this strip is now than it was the last few years.

Love this “new/old” strip. The artwork is great—down to the bubbles in the water cooler.

Good morning all…

Awesome attention to detail here. Notice the paper cup rolling on the floor, as well as the water cooler bubbles, as needlepointer said. I’m so glad they took a day to address the issues between Jr. and Honeymoon. First the stern, towering figure of authority in panel 2, and then, when the point was made, getting down to her level to show how much she is loved. When fathers do that, they demonstrate how our Heavenly Father loves us, in Jesus!

It is a comic strip convention that water cooler bottles have bubbles in them.Just like having a hat fly off someone’s head when they’re surprised.

The original story was about six times longer, though….
