Um … people … think! She is in less danger of being struck by lightning in the wading pool than she would be in the house — the house stands higher. In fact if the wading pool is placed as close to the house as they usually are, the house acts as a lightning rod to protect her — any lightning in the vicinity would have to strike the rooftop.Being in the middle of a lake in a sailboat with an aluminum mast in a lightning storm is one thing — a wading pool next to the house is another thing entirely.-Cougar :{)
