McCain is not so confident as the republicans pretend. Look carefully at his convention speeches; he reads his bit, then looks at the croud -his own base-with that “pretty please, laugh at my jokes” look in his eyes. If he gets elected, he’ll be Palin’s puppet.

C-Frog said, “If he gets elected, he’ll be Palin’s puppet.”

With Dubya responding to “Geppetto” Cheney yanking on his strings, I guess this means that McCain/Palin really would be the same as what we got now.

Palin seems worse to me than Cheney (and threeweeks ago, I thought it would be impossible)

CF-I disagree, Cheeny had decades to develop powerful contacts and hone his viciousness, he’s much more dangerous. She’s just…wait for it…Bush league. Though she’d be plenty of trouble, I think the handlers may underestimate how much they”d be able to control her over time.

FWG and CF: I believe that the real puppetmasters are going to be the same band of zealots and neocons that have been handling the politics of this nation almost a decade ago…
