Her barber gives them too many compliments. That’s probably why they have him cut their hair.

She has honesty everywhere else. Take the car guy a while ago. She goes there to have a ritual where she knows he’s going to say only nice things, know that they’re exaggerated but knows she can count on having her ego pumped up a bit, and she can relax while the conditioner works. She can see her mother and other customers. She’s seen herself in the mirror. This is a temporary escape
