   The reason they avoid transporting people on-ship without using the transporter pads in “Star Trek” is to avoid part of you ending up being reassembled a bit too low and in the solid sickbay exam table rather than in the air… if your brain was being reassembled where something else was it wouldn’t assemble enough to register it happened, so in that case it’s a pretty instant death

   they have had phones on the market that are programmed to call only parents and 911 and only take incoming calls from set numbers

   That’s when people are naturally tired, which has been the theme of the individuals who messed up their normally foolproof spells as well. Someone increasing their tiredness or taking advantage of it…

   My dad blew up the garage. He had an approved chemistry lab and the science fiction novel told him how to actually make a chemical but not to never let it dry out. Small damage, and he ended up with a PhD in Biochemistry. Retired from being a professor a few years ago. His demonstrations were more likely to go “boom” than the rest of the staff, but safety procedures were paramount and they did keep people up and work with his topics (I was a History major at the university he taught at and we all took “Plants and Civilization” and his “History of Chemistry” for our Science requirements.

   We had a 5-month-old pup when my aunt moved in for a while with her adult dog. Each dog went to their bowl, ate all but the last few kibbles, and then went to the other bowl for the most special treat- another dog’s food. And it happened that Pup switched to “senior” food about the time Chloe graduated to “adult” formulations…

   sadly “cost of living” raises in that form never take into account the number of people in a family who are living on the income.

   because no one would hire Leon to be a hitman, or, if he actually disappears to lead his life of crime, he isn’t “generous” enough to send a token child support amount.
