I received several messages over the weekend inquiring about the book deal. Yes, I do still have books to sell. And here’s the pitch for all you newcomers (welcome, BTW!):

The Endtown mini-comic that I produced for Comicpalooza 2011 is now available to YOU for the offensively low price of $2.50 (price includes s&h, international add $1 for each copy ordered ). Besides sporting a snazzy full color cover (http://tinyurl.com/3uytdhy), it contains an all-new 22 page story that is available nowhere else. And just because I feel like doing it, I’ll sign and personalize (if desired) each and every copy I mail out. Simply pay via PayPal using my email address, aaronneathery@gmail.com, and be sure to include your mailing address. If you can’t pay with PayPal, email me for my snailmail.

And, just so you know, I’m completely open to donations. The cat and mouse that live in my head will thank you. :-)

. . .You know, a part of me started to type a question as to what Wally looked like before…And then even that part realized it was a senseless question. The answer is completely unimportant.Congratulations on yet another strong, affecting arc.. . .But, you know…You never did tell us what that button is on Wally’s shirt…

wanderwolf, if you look at the Feb. 10 strip, it’s possible that Wally is an engineer. It may be a security badge for the company he used to work for and can’t bear to give up. He’s smart, but he’s a pacifist. This could be a result of having been at a weapons manufacturer before the war, and then having a change of heart, or maybe he was just a civil engineer. Personally, I’d like to see him coming from a company that made early topsider technology, such as the transporters.

…Coyoty wins. :)Holly quite likely dispenses advice she had to take to heart, and has lived with for a long time now. She cares when she shouldn’t, and knows the price in hurt to pay; she found similar traits in Wally, and saw that he was hiding from it – why else would he automatically come to her defense right after she met him? Then seeing him hurt badly made her react instinctively (as a human, not a mouse). She’s not going to lose the chance to help someone if she can help it.

Really quite something, here. It’s quite the metaphor, if Wally takes it.
