Cobra, if you got a GPS that led you here you’d think you were in Oz!

Dead of Winter Down Under, and 19C … how’s that?

They shoulda taken that left turn at Albuquerque.

That must be a truly magical GPS, for the land of Oz is surrounded by an impassable desert.

I’m wondering if the lion is hiding in the woods, waiting for the hikers to turn back. Mmmmm… DINNER!

(Nah… Probably not. He’s too much of a coward to attack.)

Hey! At least his GPS gets them to someplace interesting! My E-bay GPS goes blank every once in a while and gives me a line across the screen! Then I have to pop out the batteries and re-boot!

And don’t bug me about the warranty. I’m sure it’s voided if it fell off the back of a truck.

That little girl named Dorothy should wear red ruby slippers.

Yeah, but don’t you need the Ruby slippers before you can click your heals 3 times (and say “There’s no place like home”).

@Joe Allen…you’re thinking of the 1939 movie..which took a lot of liberties with the original story.

For starters the ruby slippers were originally silver. (One can only assume they were changed to something that would show up in color.)

Many don’t realize there were a number of “OZ” books - I read them all as a kid (thank God for public libraries, and Andrew Carnegie). Ozma, Tik Tok, Tip, Mombi,Scraps - all were important in other Oz books, but, of course, what people remember is Judy Garland and the Wizard of Oz. In “The Emerald City of Oz”, Dorothy, Uncle Henry and Aunt Em come to live in Oz permanently. Yes, I’m digressing. I’ll stop.

It is true that the movie’s ending was talked about a lot. In the original books by L Frank Baum, Oz was definitely supposed to be a real place. Dorothy even takes her aunt there in one of his sequels.
