Interestingly enough, when the game designers from TSR ran tournaments at conventions, they ran into gamers who knew the rules better than they did.

LOL I have run into this at a game before. Didn’t ride out in the rain but, I know where this comes from.

I wish Billy-Boy would go back to week strips, I sure hate waiting for Sunday to get my fox on. This would make a fantastic animated series, though the hardest part would be casting the voice of Jason, it would have to be just right. No squeaky jerry lewis type voices please!!!!!!!!

Jason sure has let his standards down. How can a kid who memorized the entire LOR sagas be ready to settle for a Warhammer miniature during an AD&D session. I mean, really. Marcus was absolutely right to call him on this one.

And when we were short on minis, we’d pull in Starcraft boardgame pieces or glass beads from M:tG. Last night I pulled in Star Wars minis…

I was never hard-core. We had sort of “mascots” from no telling where when gaming, but never all the correct miniatures.

We need these two guys to read Pibgorn and explain to us what’s going on.

Yeah, Nancy Cartwright would create a perfect Jason. It would be a hit!

I’m imagining Dr. Leonard McCoy crossed with Dr. Temperance Brennan. Could Nancy Cartwright voice that?

I never played with miniatures. If we needed to see who was where in a battle, then we'd just use whatever was handy: dice, pennies, whatever. Otherwise, we used our imaginations!

I have to get this framed for my husband and his brothers as they all still play D&D!

Lol, the toy store is out of Balrogs. I do’nt play D&D, and yet I still get the joke.

Some of those “mini’s” though….The colossal red dragon is one of the largest, and most expensive D&D figures. To scale with the players minis, it stands about 35 centimeters tall, and sells for about $200
