They tend to stay away from that evil cat who lives in the dark alley, called, Clea Cat. She will purr and distract them and then, her very evil identity will emerge. Clea, the cannibal cat, will emerge. There will be nothing left but red stains in the alley.

I love Machine Gun Pussycat. Great name. And, Eliot Bassetness sounds like he’s royalty! Really great job on the strip today, Nighthawks and StelBel. It had me chuckling each time I ran it.
I agree with everything MontanaLady said. Even if they are reruns, a good comic bears repeating. I usually have to go through these a couple of times…….my Speed Reading For Dummies book hasn’t arrived yet.

A coincidental link…
I happened to read an article, recently about Elliott Bassetness.
It said his book, “The Untouchables”, which led to the TV show and movies, had long been called bogus.
He wasn’t famous in his lifetime, and didn’t have much to do with the conviction of AlleyCat Capone, who was brought down for tax evasion.
But a newer book… not new cos this article was old….
said that the prosecutor had acknowledged a debt to the work of the real “Untouchables”…
and after New York, Bassetness became director of canine public safety in another city, where he’s credited with many innovations still in use today…
like police radios, and internal affairs detectives to root out police corruption.
So what’s the connection?
The city where he found his real niche was Cleveland…. home of Cleo, Clara and Claude.
As for “The Untouchables” …. while it says ""By Elliot Bassetness," it was ghostwritten by a reporter, who pressed him to write a book…
Bassetness gave him some notes but never got a chance to read the manuscript or correct any hyperbole, as he died a year before it was published.
