You should see the cat after a taste of coffee! (He doesn’t change his clothes however), if he did, then I get no more energy drinks, EVER.

Cleo REALLY had to stretch to play the role of a supportive, educating, and uplifting nanny. And they had to use extra slow motion to show her descent with that little parasol (KA-Thump). Nevertheless, the movie is box office gold!

    Well, hello, everybody!

Here we are again… posting our comments, this time, on

the Jan 15th  2019 “CLEO and COMPANY”

Another great poster from StelBel…. on Sherpa

    http://www.comicssherpa.com/site/feature?uc_comic=cscwy

    Mary Puppies.

What an image that name conjures up for me.

I read the Mary Puppies books…. yes, more than one; it’s a series….

    when I was just a puppy…. er… I mean a child… myself.

It was delightful fantasy… the playful, kind, nanny of every child’s dream.

When the movie came out, I didn’t want to see it.

Cleo didn’t fit my mental picture of Mary Puppy.

But later I did…. and it was lovely…. a slightly different version of the beloved nanny…. but still a delight.

Imagine my surprise when discovered a human version….

I’m not going to call it a copy…. because ….

    well… see for yourself!

Whatever in the world is this human nanny doing??

Dancing about with her skirts hiked high…..

And neither stockings nor fur to cover the unseemly display of legs!

No wonder they don’t call her Mary “Puppies.”

Would you let your puppy see that?

I’m glad it’s the sweet basset Mary Puppies … from the book and from this Dogsknees version…..

That comes to my mind instead.

Ask any puppy or human child whether he or she would rather have that scrawny human tart for a nanny….

or a soft, warm basset hound.

When it comes to energy drinks…. I’m kinda negative about them anyway.

Nothing much in them to recommend them.

Some have too much caffeine, and/or sugar…. along with, sometimes, herbal concoctions I trust for neither efficacy nor safety.

BUT… I’m starting to reconsider, when it comes to trying whatever Roger drank.

    Also…@ Nighthawks and x_Tech…..

I never would have guessed that was Krazy Kat!

I’m familiar with Krazy Kat, and I’m kind of embarrassed that I never even thought of him as one of the vintage cartoon cats to Google…

But even had I done that….

This is the way he usually looks, and the way I think of him (here shown with Ignatz Mouse.)

    https://media.newyorker.com/photos/59097d6eebe912338a378aa6/master/w_727,c_limit/Bellot-TheGenderFluidityofKrazyKat.jpg

Had he looked like that in the Clifford’s living room I could have identified him…

And even though I thought I’d seen that other picture, I didn’t associate it with Herriman or Krazy Kat.

Now I gotta do some digging to find out when he looked like that.

But you guys win the big prizes….

First Place goes to Nighthawks…. second to x_Tech…

a 20%, and 10%, respectively, bonus, in your February paychecks from Cleo and Company!

If Stel says OK, of course.

If she says “no” …. how about a blueberry pie?

I have loved everything coming from Walt Dogsknees’ studios all my life! And this one really takes the Kibble! Our Cleo looks so sweet and huggable. Can’t wait to see what magic she’ll do on the screen. (Sure hope she doesn’t have her bazooka in her bag!)
