    Hey hey, everybody!

Who’s up for batting a ball around in a friendly little sort of a game over at Myra and Hank’s?

We’re heading over there to post our comments on

the June 13th  2018 “CLEO and COMPANY”

And to read it together, on Sherpa

    http://www.comicssherpa.com/site/feature?uc_comic=cscwy

They invited us to a summer cookout….

Myra said there’d be hot dogs, hamburgers, tofu dogs, potato salad and cole slaw …

    and I saw her buying a watermelon…

plus softball in their backyard…. except we probably won’t have enough players for a real game.

Myself, I won’t be helping in that regard…..

One, I know Hank tends to be a bit competitive…

and two, I don’t do sports… ever ever ever.

So only those who want to will play.

The rest of us can spend the whole time discussing Cleo….

    as we usually do anyhow.

Wow…. not sure I like the way Hank’s brandishing that bat!

    I hope he’s not scaring poor Buddy….

cos it’s cute, the way they’ve taught him to play.

He kinda takes up some of the slack, now that Jeff and the twins are grown and gone.

    Cute….but I’m starting to wonder whether it’s really fair…

Myra thinks Hank expects that poor dog to perform as well as Jeff did in high school, when he made the All-City team.

I mean… come on….. Buddy isn’t anywhere near even half as tall.

Good job standing up for your teammate, Myra! Hank never accepts the umpire’s ruling.

And so, Clara, what did the scale say to you? After all in the first panel, the scale refers to “another heavyweight,” The comment about Claude’s belly was uncalled for.

Interesting that Clara should choose the same supplier as Wile E. Coyote.

From what I’ve seen, it’s more of a back-talking scale or mechanical insult machine.

    LITTLE KNOWN HISTORICAL FACTS

    Part IX

Before it diversified into smart mouthed bathroom appliances, ACME Corp. made rearview mirrors for the Studebaker Brothers Manufacturing Co.

I think maybe that scale is screwed together a little too tight.

Or maybe it’s angry about having to work for scale.

It’s forgetting who buys its batteries.

In any case, I’d be buying it a ticket, instead…. right back to the Acme factory…. a weigh we go.

BTW…. I think a lot of toons get the Acme catalogue…

it’s very popular in their world.

The merchandise often seems to be defective, but then, it helps them be funny,

and that’s what their jobs depend on.

And yes, Clara, that was hitting below the belt. So to speak.

It’s not like your body is so flat in front either, you know.

But we’re constructed with the ability to bend in the middle…. I’d rather do that than live with an electronic wannabe Don Rickles in the bathroom.

As for Myra, I was proud of her too, for defending Buddy.

I think she sneaked him a hamburger, too… so that dog does OK.

oh… and JP Steve…. I answered your last comment yesterday.

I took it as Clara, ever-so-gently telling Claude that she found this great new invention that tells you your health history without you having to look at it. What a deal!!!

We are so lucky to have NightHawks be our wonderful Cartoonist! And, of course StelBel does the same. I know it makes me feel good to see their comments, and everyone laugh all day long. I don’t think there are any other cartoonists out there who take the time.
