If you looking here for the answers to Saturday’s puzzle, you best look at

    http://www.gocomics.com/ballardstreet/2007/12/15?ct=v&cti=1496856&comments=visible#comments

because there is no Sunday Ballard St for the 16th.

Very romantic on Ballard Street. Sharing earbuds, how sweet!

Yes, Ballard Street 2007 just skipped Sunday…

If we go back to the Saturday strip … yesterday…

to comment on the Saturday puzzle,

we’ll finally line up the days of the week here with the correct days for Cleo.

I counted 8. Is there a Bassette hiding in the rafters?

Eight is such an even number. You don’t have the Bassetts battling to take the center stage. But, if you had 9, then our Cleo would have a sparklie glitterlie costume right in the center!

I love how their ears flap as they perform their high kicks!

Love this one! Another one you can just watch over and over……..no matter how many bassetts are on the stage.

    Aaaaand…. I goofed.

If I were that sort of self-deprecating person,

I would add “and not for the first time” ….

But I’m not, so let me express my extreme shock at the thought…

but I have, indeed, made a mistake.

Yes, I was right, that skipping a day would put the Saturday puzzle and comments in line with the days of the week on the 2007 Ballard Street strip where we comment.

OR it would make up for the 2007 Ballard St. skipping a Sunday.

My (shudder) error was in thinking (but not hard enough) that it would accomplish both at the same time.

Of course it won’t, and didn’t.

We’re now back to where we were previously… having made up for the missing strip.

It’s Sunday, and we’re once again commenting on a Sunday Cleo on a Monday Ballard Street.

The Saturday puzzle will once again be on a Sunday Ballard Street.

That happens because either we started off that way back in January, or more probably, we paid no attention to a long ago missing Sunday.

If anybody on Earth besides me cares about that, we could skip another day sometime….

tonight, or a different, chosen, day, to get the Monday Cleo, say, onto a Monday Ballard Street.

Give me the word, Nighthawks, and I’ll either lead that charge or drop it, as you prefer.

After that, we also have to do what we did this time, every time there’s a missing Sunday..

Which is fine with me, or we’d end up having Saturdays on Wednesdays or something,

which no one but me will notice but it will make me cra…. um…. even crazier.

And of course, if anybody else has an opinion (and this is extremely nice of me)

you’re welcome to give it too…. unless, as I suspect, it involves my sanity.

As it is, we’ve managed for almost a year, with nobody (AFAIK) getting lost finding the Saturday Cleo comments on the 2007 Sunday strip even though the current (2017) Ballard Street has no Sundays.

And thanks, Mabrndt…. I, too have looked ahead, all the way to where the Sundays disappear altogether in 2010…

Then I realized that we had BETTER not be commenting on Ballard Street by then.

I’m looking forward to having a Cleo comments page before we have to jump over many more missing Sundays.

    And for anybody who’s counting…

even Nighthawks, cos I don’t care about the accuracy unless it’s a tight race, and I think I’m far in the lead…

YES, I AM vying for the GoComics Gold Cup,

by trying to fit the most “Ballard Street”’s in one (or even two) comments.

    OK…. now, I’m confused.

It’s my own @#$%! fault for confusing everybody else!

I was going to come back and post that I’d realised…

now that we took care of the missing Sunday (and will again next time)

we should just stick with what we have…

because if we make the DAYS line up, the dates will be off.

It’s more important for the strip for the 18th to be on the 18th,

no matter what day of the week it was in 2007.

That’s how some people find their way from the newer Ballard Street.

I expected to find that everyone had moved on to the next strip with their comments on the new Cleo….

And to be posting THIS there too.

Yet I just discovered some comments were posted here after the turn…

None are about Cleo and Santa…

so for those…. let’s go to tomorrow.

Where there’s already at least one comment.

    Thanks… and sorry!
