heard this on the news. british pm cameron says that the source of crime is troubled families. but, on sunday, he and his family went out for brunch at the local pub. after their meal, one of the kids went to use the bathroom. pm and wife and kids left to go back home. 15 min in, they noticed that they were missing a child. scrambled to go back to the local pub where they forgot their 8 yo daughter. either the stress of the job or his gaffes( murdocks phone hacking, pasties tax, or leaving your kid at the local pub) are taking a toll.
You COULD off with his head, but it wouldn’t change the fact that most parents still take little interest in what their kids are doing. Imagine: the world is a safer place…and you are STILL THE PARENT!
I don’t know if the problem is the extreme type of parenting described by Steve, or the other extreme: very little parenting or none at all. it may be both, actually, for whatever i know…
The PMRC.I still remember the ridiculousness of those hearings, which Bloom County is satirizing. The best part was Frank Zappa’s quote to Tipper Gore (something like) – .“If songs could make you do something we’d all love one another.”
