No back-to-school for Lio when he can find the escape-hatch in the Frame! (Side question: where’s all the furniture?)

To add to the side question posted by Sisyphos…where is all the furniture and what are the two pictures of? A T-rex and a pink pac man ghost? Cool…

The fact that his dad wears black socks with sandals would send me out of the frame too.

I thought furniture would’ve complicated the scene unnecessarily. I think it tracks much faster this way. It is only upon closer inspection that we realize there’s no furniture. But comics are like that. If we really examine them, they have no logic.

It’s pretty great! I wouldn’t worry about furniture, that would’ve made it complicated.

This’d make a great side scrolling video game. Lio evading the dread first day of school. Once he gets to the end though he’ll find out that the Princess is in another Castle.

Don’t know if Mark T will read this but I wonder if he ever considered an homage to Spy Vs. Spy featuring Lio? Maybe Eva could be his foil. Just a suggestion.

Mr. Tatulli, I just figured the furniture was on the other side of the room - it doesn’t hurt to have an uncluttered pathway through a room.

I wish it was that easy.

My kids don’t start school until Tuesday. I guess that’s where my head was. And I like the Spy vs Spy idea…I’ll have to give that some thought.

Maybe Lio’s heading over to “Pearls Before Swine” so he can kick back with some beers and wait for the new school year to end.
