Here’s a cartoonist trick of the trade – the lamest jokes pop up on Saturdays, but sometimes they turn out to be the best. Like the last five minutes on Saturday Night Live are sometimes the funniest. Not that this is my funniest joke of the week. Hold on to your hats, people – next week are some real doozies.

..I like your idea of using the middle panel like a coupon you can cut out and put up on the refrigerator…sort of like,’Garfield Minus Garfield’….’A Doozie Minus The Ooz’…..

That’s a great idea, 3hourtour. Maybe the middle panel can be redeemed at the supermarket.

or maybe the liquor store…..

The middle panel is only redeemable with the authentic TWG initials emblazoned on the panel!

But seriously, we need to be concerned about Dean’s drinking if bottles are now talking to him. Maybe the funniest joke of the week but is this the best Saturday message for young readers?
