So the manufacturers of weapons are chomping at the bit to keep selling their wares wanting the wars to continue forever and ever so they can get richer and richer.
Just can’t figure out why so many support the terrorists. Calling Hamas “Palestinians” does not change who they are or what they did. Innocents die in wars. But expecting Israel to stop their efforts to wipe out Hamas is just helping the terrorists.
Israel is not a monolith. There are forces within Israel trying hard to restrain Bibi. The United States is not a monolith either. We are on the verge of making an equally catastrophic (and far more consequential !) “leadership decision” come November. The world would be better off without either man – and “Palestine”(whatever that is) would be better off without Hamas. We are the arms merchant to the world – not just to Israel. They’ll get the weapons – and Hamas will get them, too. And the whole sideshow will continue to distract from the real threat – in Ukraine. “Sad.
Killing people is wrong, full stop. Qualifying your political or ideological opponent as a “terrorist”, whatever that is, does not make his killing worse.
Call me an antisemite if you will, but in this conflict both sides doing the killing are wrong and should be made to stop, not supported.
This latest ‘war’ of a conflict centuries old was instigated by Netanyahu by his treatment of Palestinians, violation of agreements made since 1948, and knowledge of how to get the terrorist Hamas to commit their terrorist acts.
If this war was as it appears on the surface, terrorists attacking Israeli citizens and using Palestinians as shields and for hiding, then the response should have been for a special forces type operation infiltrating with small teams to target the terrorists and not the population. Eliminating the terrorist Hamas was never Netanyahu’s plan nor desire. Conquering and wiping out Gaza and minimalizing Palestinians is.
what an f-d up world, debating how to kill each other and who’s right. I live on a street with neighbors of all religion and color. I’ve always just called them friends.

Not the first time that the USA has had to “restrain” Israel … Remember Eisenhower and Reagan…

Maybe it was a good thing that no one restrained Truman after Japan attacked Pearl Harbor killing 2,403 people.
