With a third of the electorate distrusting certified/re-certified/re-re-certified election results and favoring unverifiable conspiracy theories instead — it’s easy to see how our government became so irrationally dysfunctional.

If Trump wins, the Democrats need to re-elect Nancy Pelosi as speaker. She has been the only person capable of controlling Trump. Unless, of course Biden is elected. He doesn’t listen to Congress.

I’d rather have a president who could make Congress/Courts work together productively — using an apolitical interpretation of the Constitution — for ALL US citizens not just approximately one-quarter of the electorate. Normally, it’s the external enemies of a nation that seek to divide the populace against each other … not irrational extreme internal partisan corruption/ambition.

What makes Lisa or anyone else think that Biden is even going to get his own party’s nomination? There are no caves so deep nor jungles so dense where people exist that actually believe that “Inflation was 9% when I took office”. And Biden’s “Crazy Uncle Joe” act is wearing so thin that even the Democrats can’t stand it anymore.

I think Bill Maher’s take is correct: Trump voters look at the two candidates and parties and say, “Yes, Trump is a reprehensible boisterous buffoon, but he’s all we’ve got between us and the madness of Democrats…”

Faith is NOT necessary! Biden says he’ll end Trump’s tax cuts [and in THAT he’s NOT lying!] That means your personal exemption will be cut in half, AND if you are a “rich” person who owns a business, your taxes including capital gains will go UP! If you think the USA economy is BETTER under Biden’s policies, and you WANT to pay higher taxes [if by chance you AREN’T laid off by the business owner] then you can vote for Biden. If you LIKED peace between the Arabs and Israelis, and no new wars, with any USA citizen being able to get a job, WHILE keeping more of your earnings for your FAMILY, vote for Trump and Republicans! Trump DID try to build a wall to stop illegals, AND with Republicans controlling the House and Senate, the wall WILL be finished! AND, Trump WILL try to deport all the illegals [like Eisenhower] that Biden ALLOWED to flood in [and gave free stuff to!]

“… In 1955, thousands of disoriented people roamed the city’s streets as the sun bore down on them. They had just been dumped there by American immigration officials—snatched from their lives and jobs in the United States and thrown into a city where they didn’t know anyone.

These Mexican immigrants had been caught in the snare of Operation W#tback, the biggest mass deportation of undocumented workers in United States history. …

It’s not clear how many American citizens were swept up in Operation W#tback, but the United States later claimed that 1.3 million people total were deported. However, some historians dispute that claim. Though hundreds of thousands of people were ensnared, says historian Kelly Lytle Hernandez, the number of deportees was drastically lower than the United States reported—likely closer to 300,000. Due to immigrants who were caught, deported, and captured again after re-emigrating, it’s impossible to estimate the total number of people deported under the program.….

Historians have documented the behind-the-scenes wheeling and dealing that the United States participated in during Operation W#tback—deals that were not publicized at the time. Immigration officials threatened South Texas employers, some of whom had resorted to hiring armed guards to fend off Border Patrol officers, with stepped-up raids and offered them watered-down versions of the Bracero Program that let them get papers for their workers without committing to all of the program’s strenuous requirements. As a result, the number of immigrants in the Bracero Program grew as undocumented workers were deported.

Operation W#tback “was lawless; it was arbitrary; it was based on a lot of xenophobia," Hernandez told CNN in 2016. “And it resulted in sizable large-scale violations of people’s rights, including the forced deportation of U.S. citizens.” …" — history .com/news/operation-w#tback-eisenhower-1954-deportation

Time to impeach Biden. What’s good for the goose is good for the gander. "President Trump withheld Congressionally appropriated aid to Ukraine unless they granted him a political favor. It’s the definition of quid pro quo. This is no joke — Trump continues to put his own personal, political interests ahead of the national interest. He must be impeached. “That was Candidate Joe Biden in October 2019.Replace "Trump” with “Biden” and “Ukraine” with “Israel,” and Joe Biden just incriminated himself, at least according to new Democrat standards for impeachment.

Trump’s latest ‘absurd’ attack on Biden hit by wave of mockery

“[Biden] lies about everything, including his golf game,” said Trump, who has been called out by fact-checkers for a constant string of falsehoods in his post-trial day courthouse step rants. “Because he can’t hit a ball. He can’t hit a ball 100 yards.”

The former president was swiftly skewered by commenters on social media — some of whom pointed out that Trump himself has a lengthy list of accusations that he outright cheats at golf, and goes out of his way to award himself club championships at his own properties’ golf tournaments even when he doesn’t bother to show up for portions of the competition.

“Trump accuses Biden of….lying about his golf game,” wrote Key West based political commentator Peter Heinlein. “At some point we can all stop pretending this guy is ‘fighting for us’.”

“Why don’t any of the reporters ask him questions when he stands in the Trump Whinery zone?” wrote the account @BrianSpiva. “Why do they just record every absurd thing that tumbles out of his pie hole? Push back, cowards! Stop the soliloquies.”

“Trump 2024: I can hit a ball 100 yards,” wrote the account @WormsUSA.

“I like a president who’s #1 priority is not golf.. just saying,” wrote the account @DianeBurr.

“Always projection and confession,” wrote the account @lisasmoot1964. “Trump is well known to cheat at golf and lie about his numbers.”

No wonder his “team” doesn’t unleash him to do actual sit-down interviews more often. They’re sick of having to do “clean-up on aisle 4”. “Wednesday’s chat with CNN’s Erin Burnett shows why. In a brief 17 minutes, Biden told 15 lies — nearly a lie a minute,” the editorial board wrote. “From whoppers about the economy to prevarications on Israel, Biden spun a fantasyland of a presidency that voters know is false.”

There is still time for Trump to be convicted in his NYC hush money case, though the cases in FL and GA will likely get pushed past the election. But a conviction would likely be appealed by Trump’s legal team and his oversized ego will likely keep him in the race (especially if he gets probation or house arrest as opposed to jail time). Independent swing voters (who really do the deciding in general elections) might be loath to vote for a convicted felon though. As for Biden, I would rather vote for him in November than Trump. My hope is that the Democrats can win back the House and gain a few seats in the Senate as well in November as well as keeping the White House. Perhaps then, in 2028, we could vote for someone like MI Gov. Whitmer or CO Gov. Polis for the Presidency.
