I think in the next war most of those 1%ers will find themselfs hunted down and eliminated because they ignored the needs of the people, just like the French Revolution, but they will have no place to run to!
In the US it began with the revolution. Many of the Founding Fathers came from the Donor Class, land owners, merchants, manufacturers,… We replaced the hereditary aristocracy with one of wealth.
