Everyone is free to express their opinion. And fire people that push hate. Unfortunately, many universities embrace hatred for Israel and Jews as a matter of policy.
@Christopher Burns, however clever the semantics of Mr. Booth and yourself, the fact is that the term “antisemitic” is most commonly used to describe the hatred of Jews. The term Semite includes Arab people, but the context of the term antisemite in current use is meaningful. Additionally, a large percentage of the “pro Palestinian critics of Israel”, and in particular the protesters, are not Semites. Obviously, Palestinians living in the U.S. will protest the war; however, their rhetoric makes it very evident that they hate Jews, as does the behavior of non-Palestinians who have joined the protests.
Here we go again. Look at 1948 when Isreal was “formed”.
From Al Jazeera (who reports what ACTUALLY takes place in the Middle East, since they are there): Between 1947 and 1949, Zionist military forces attacked major Palestinian cities and destroyed some 530 villages. About 15,000 Palestinians were killed in a series of mass atrocities, including dozens of massacres.
On April 9, 1948, Zionist forces committed one of the most infamous massacres of the war in the village of Deir Yassin on the western outskirts of Jerusalem.
Just who keeps slapping a hornets nest and cries when they get stung? Here is a clue, it isn’t Israel. Israel isn’t using international funds to build tunnels and robbing the funds to cushion their own bank account while it’s people suffer in poverty.

I see. Mr. Booth is highly critical of Israel, and PM Netanyahu in particular. Therefore, in RWNJ land he’s anti-Semitic.
