Actually Barrett does deserve some credit for only going along with the reversal, but not the bulk of the majority opinion. The difference between her opinion and the 3 liberals was that while they were harshly critical of the overreach, she basically made a “can’t we all just get along” appeal.
So while it was 9-0 that states could not keep candidates off the ballot on an individual basis, the rest of the ruling was 5-4.
This was really all about testing the A14-S3 section, and the court does not agree with direct enforcement by the states.
IMHO the real sycophancy of the SC is in the gross delay of the J6 case through the absurd presidential immunity claim.
I read something yesterday that IMVPO is spot on. Look at the budget submitted by Roberts. He is Requesting a lot of additional funds for security. Currently the US Marshalls Service provides security, Roberts wants an internal SCOTUS security force to protect the Justices and their homes. I agree with the person I read[Public Notice?] yesterday, I think they are very afraid of what demagogue trumps magat minions might do if they rule against trump and believe the Marshalls Service is rife with members of cult trump, which is why they want to hire their own security
I hope that the Supreme Court will realize that agreeing with Traitor Trump’s insane position of immunity would leave them open to scorn and ridicule from all patriotic people for centuries.
Exactly so. A rational House and 67 decent persons in the Senate could do something about the Court in a mighty short time. Meanwhile, Congress can, for one thing, remove its jurisdiction over one thing or another. THOSE WHO DON’T VOTE DECIDE THE ELECTION

You forgot to include the other 3 liberals who also upheld the constitution. 9-0.
