Something that silences Chesney. What genius!

Those raining animals better not fall on that spike on top of that umbrella. Ouch!

It reminds me of those German WWI helmets with the silly-looking pointy thing on top.

I’ve heard of it raining cats and dogs, but never heard of it raining ducks and cows (or cow).

    Today is:

NATIONAL CHEESE DOODLE DAY. I never see Cheese Doodles here, but I do have some Cheeto’s. Do those count?

NATIONAL ABSINTHE DAY. This day is for those who are 21 years or older to celebrate a drink called absinthe. Often mistaken for a liqueur, it is truly a spirit because it isn’t sweetened. It belongs to the vodkas, gins, and whiskeys when categorizing absinthe. The spirit is made by infusing wormwood, fennel, anise, and other herbs into alcohol through distillation. Pierre Ordinaire, a French doctor, is credited with the creation of absinthe. He developed and prescribed the elixir in the early 19th century as a cure for many illnesses. It has a strong licorice flavor to it and has a high alcohol content. The spirit is often served with ice, a sugar cube placed on a slotted spoon over the glass, and water poured over the sugar.

    NATIONAL MULTIPLE PERSONALITY DAY

With the pointed top on that Brollie, the cow is in for an interesting surprise.

Having a multiple personality might not be a bad thing. You’d always have someone to talk to, you’d never shop alone, you’ve got somebody to blame if things go sideways and it would annoy the heck out of everyone else!

Me, myself and I are anxiously awaiting the conclusion to this story and Woof’s comment on it (if any).

Yesterday I saw an old episode of “The New Twilight Zone” (1985) and it ended like this:

“There was an old woman, a page in a book,

mere phrases and words at which no one will look.

But a tale worth telling has a life of its own…

… happily ever after into the Twilight Zone".

No similarities in the story itself, but the rhymes made me think of this strip ☺

I got notification that someone commented on something I posted on BCN. I read it and the strip and did not remember it all. Not even an inkling. I thought I must be losing it until I read the date – it was from FOUR years ago!

Happy sweet 17 to my 1st grandson today. ❣️

I, however, am 78, and not nearly as sweet.

Don’t worry about the cow. He will land on a turtle someplace.

Very funny. Reminds me of Wile E. Coyote. Hope those people have better luck with their umbrellas protecting them from cows and ducks than Wile E. Coyote did with his umbrella protecting him from boulders and anvils. On another note, saw a junco, two varied thrushes, two wrens, and three chickadees while out walking today.

Considering the spots birds leave on my car, having cows and pigs overhead is worriesome!
