Reminds of my dog licking her chops at three in the morning, wanting to go out. That’s the way she lets you know, licks her chops until you wake up. Smart dog but a pain in the rear at three A.M.
When I’m watching TV, Madame will jump onto my lap, head “boop” me the turn around so I am looking directly at her butt for 5 or 6 minutes, then settle down & curl up for scritchies.

Why do cats do that? Lily (not the kitty pictured) likes to get on my lap and just stand there instead of laying down.
