Don’t believe him Fred, we all love a dog in our bed!

It’s the way of the dog to sneak into the bed when mom and dad fall asleep, although Dad seems to be glaring at you. If he was really angry, you would know by now. Secretly, he doesn’t mind. I can remember waking up more than once and finding I was crammed up against the headboard lying width wise across the bed while my basset had sprawled across the rest of the bed. He has learned to sleep neater. I never mind how much bed he takes, though.

The warmest place. And a hot water bottle to boot…

I prefer to have my dog sleep on my bed then I know where he is and safe.

If my dog is sleeping on the bed I can be sure I won’t trip over him while heading to the bathroom in the dark.

A dog less bed is a boring, cold and empty bed!

I had a dog that did not like to sleep on the bed or couch!

Too bad Mr. Dear doesn’t feel the same way Fred. Maybe if it was a double bed, but then Mrs. Dear would be there and there would still be no space for large Basset hound like yourself. I guess they need a queen or king sized bed.

Today’s strip reminds me of the Fred Basset pillow case that I slept on as a boy. My Mum said to me, “Fancy sleeping on a dog!”

They sleep in separate beds?

Both cat and dog sleep on my bed. Very comfy. Everybody happy.

My dogs always sleep with me.

My cats used to sleep on either side of my legs, effectively wedging me in. I loved it!

We had a dog who would crawl under the covers and sleep at your feet.

My coonhound would do the same thing and my wife would have a heart attack.
