I NEVER had my mother help me at all with mine. Not as a kid, not as a teen, nor a young adult. I never needed her help with any of it Same with my father. But then again, I was a honor role student from K through University (where it was called the Dean’s List) so I usually got it done in less than an hour.
When I was around 4th and 5th grade, my mother looked over my homework (especially math) and told me which answers were wrong and I reworked the problem until I got it right. That wasn’t doing it for me, but it did help so I ended up with a perfect paper.
My mom once drew the pictures for my Science project on the planets of our solar system. (I was NOT that artistic at age 11). I got top marks, but, unfortunately, mostly for the drawings. :P
