Goodwyn, nor the other Disciples EVER mentioned the debt while Trump was in office.

Just a four year oversight. Again.

After the eight years of Bush.

They only care about debt when a Democrat s in the WH and forget that most of the debt was racked up under Republican presidents.

Sooooo, where were you when the government gave trillions of dollars in tax cuts that benefited ~600 billionaires? Debt arises when income fails to meet expenses. When you cut the revenue side, it doesn’t automatically remove the debt obligation. That’s the fault in GOP thinking. They’re running around granting tax cuts to the top 1% and trying to extract the cuts from the bottom 99%. We’re fed up trying to fund the rich getting richer!

Rich people need to pay taxes, no more republican tax breaks for rich republicans.

True, but what’s the plan? In a household, there are two ways to respond to hard times. The one republicans always bring up is belt tightening. Spend less, dispense with luxuries, etc. republicans usually want to cut spending to the underserving, aka the poor. Somehow their priorities, farm subsidies, tax cuts for the rich, defense, never get cut.

The other thing to do would be, get another job – raise revenue, aka taxes. That never gets mentioned.

Well, Al, I guess we’ll just have to follow your man Trump’s advice and have the nation just declare bankruptcy. And then you GQPers can just offer more tax cuts to the uber rich and of course the tickle down economy will take care of everyone at the bottom. NOT!

" Debt arises when income fails to meet expenses". When was the last time we tried to reduce expenses? Any attempt has been met with “they want to throw grandma off the cliff in her wheelchair” ads and cries of “stealing food out of the mouth of babies”.

Reagan tripled our National Debt, Bush2 tripled it again, and tRump blew it away. All 3 gave tax cuts to the wealthy. Every Republican/conservative president since 1929 has had a depression or recession, some had 2. The ‘party of fiscal responsibility’ was always a lie. tRump is calling for another recession. conservatives prove over and over they cannot manage an economy.

People have been complaining about the debt for…ever?

We don’t have a spending problem. Our country is 18th in spending per capita. But we are only 58th in taxation. These are what are known as “facts.” They’re kryptonite to dumber people, however.

Also, the US is only 16th in the world in terms of debt-to-GDP ratio. Is this an issue? It can be, but it hasn’t been
