I’m told by long-time ‘cat parents’ that they usually purr when happy, but sometimes, they purr to soothe themselves if they’re in a stressful situation – like visiting the vet…

That last panel is priceless! I’m glad I didn’t have a mouth full of coffee! Cats will also sometimes purr when they’re ill.
isn’t the grandchild old enough to NOT be using a sippy cup??
