We have provided financial support Israel for over half a century, yet the war rages on. We continue to enforce an embargo on Cuba for over half a century, yet the regime is just as strong. We have provided support for the Ukraine for a few years to help them hold off an invasion of a dictatorial regime meant to subjugate their people. When do declare something a lost cause.

Putin loyalists in Moscow celebrated when repugs voted to block Ukraine aid.

The host of one Kremlin-run show literally said: "Well done, repugs!

“Folks, if you’re being celebrated by Russian propagandists, it might be time to rethink what you’re doing.

A world in which Putin chalks up a win in Ukraine is one where the U.S.’s standing in the world is diminished, where Iran and North Korea are emboldened, where China dominates the Indo-Pacific, where the Middle East becomes more unstable and where nuclear proliferation takes off.

“Ukraine has become a battlefield now for America and America’s own future — whether we see it or not — for our own defensive posture and preparedness, for our reputation and our leadership. For Putin, Ukraine is a proxy war against the United States, to remove the United States from the world stage.” – Fiona Hill

That’s right let Russia take Ukraine. We are only kidding when we say we support democracies. We know Putin will stop at Ukraine.

    Right?

Joe is still paying off his cronies there for giving his kid a job that paid $1,000,000 a year, even though he had no experience in the industry.

Trump and Putin are tight, Putin is Trump’s bromance. GOP and Russian government are tight, looking to make Russia and the U.S. sister nations with the same form of government.

U.S. taxpayers should not be funding another country’s war.

Dear Mike Lester and other R’s who want Russia to defeat Ukraine,

What happened to the Republican Party?

Your founders are rolling in their graves as your main “guy” likes Putin because he’s strong and hates Zelenskky because he resisted his campaign to trade support for “just an investigation into Hunter Biden”.

And…when we support Ukraine by sending armature and ammunition we are sending them the oldest items from our inventory and refilling it with new armature and new ammunition manufactured in America by Americans. We are improving the state of our military while allowing Russia to grind its military down, regrets for the death and injury to Ukraine.

The current “leaders” of the R are RINO.

Supporting Ukraine’s efforts would be fine, indeed the proper thing to do, if other Nations were sharing the load. Unfortunately, the US has become a sucker in World affairs, the first to send support by way of taxpayer money and, more often than not, the only Nation to do so in any significant way.

I say it’s time to let others step up and show they support Ukraine. The US should step back and let other concerned and affected Nations take up the slack. Once the others have supported Ukraine proportionally, we should step back in.

If other Nations don’t feel supporting Ukraine is important enough for them to send support, why should the US ? We are all one World and we should act in concert.

GOP logic 2002: Saddam Hussein has WMDs and we know this because we cannot find any, he is that good at hiding them. GOP logic 2024: We know Biden is crooked and we know this because we cannot find any proof.

This is simple: If a football game comes on and I don’t watch it by definition I’m not pulling for one team over the other nor am I funding it by watching commercials or subscribing. Thanks but I’ll watch when my team plays. -ML

Yet, the right claims that Democrats should have stood up to Putin in his earlier invasions. That “weakness” caused Putin to invade Ukraine according to the MAGA crowd. Now, helping Ukraine stand up will actually accomplish the opposite. NOT aiding them will preclude any future Putin incursions. Truly dizzying intellect on display. (I make no judgement/prediction whether future Putin would do anything or not; I am just gob smacked by the lack of consistency in thought)
