Guerilla warfare… including what the Houthis are doing… is VERY difficult to beat with merely superior force. Surely the USA which has lost in such contests (almost?) every time it’s engaged MUST have learned that lesson by now. Surely.

So Biden was NOT “behind the cowardly and deadly retreat in Afghanistan.” It was the Afghan army that retreated from the Taliban.

Had Biden tried to add more troops in early 2021, the Taliban would simply have started their campaign before any significant numbers of US troops could arrive.

Sorry, but with Biden in office, a chicken would be more appropriate in this context.

Drones and missles fired from mobile launchers have made addressing the Houthi attacks difficult to knock out.

There have been 101 attacks on our troops in the middle east by proxies of Iran. You can’t win a war by constantly retreating. Grow a pair and let some of these bas-ards see what it’s like to be on the receiving end of awesome U.S. firepower.

It’s called counting coup. Every attack, even though they fail, gives them street cred. They know they can’t defeat the US. However, even if they’re only successful 1 out of 100,000 tries, they win what they’re looking for. And it only takes 1 time. That’s exactly what 9/11 gave the terrorists: street cred. For all its might, the US failed to stop it. 3000 people dead and two wars fought.

U.S. would do well to pick a better symbol than the bald eagle. They may be pretty, but their size and wing shape give them poor maneuverability, and the smaller birds make them look like fools and chasing them away at will. Their fledglings are whiny moochers and they prefer to steal their meals from the hard-working ospreys, or just eat road kill. There’re more than enough analogies to prove Ben Franklin was right when suggesting the turkey as our national symbol. Alas warlike countries do tend to use the eagle pretty consistently.

Not only has Ole Slo Joe totally abdicated his authority as Commander in Chief to the current pack of politically correct generals in the Ministry of Peace, he’s completely forgotten the example of his predecessor. For the current situation, that would go something like “Yemen is nothing more than a surrogate for Iran. When Yemen acts up, we don’t strike the Houthis. We strike Iran. And hard enough so they’ll think twice before recruiting the next surrogate”.

As when Trump killed Al-Zawahiri and Al-Suleimani. According to the team that killed him, the latter died a coward’s death. He saw the weapon coming for him and ran for cover, crying like a little girl. Ole Slo Joe would probably have sent him a get-well card.

They got to be lunching those drones from somewhere, drones that go out to see two or more thousand Kilometers aren’t just driven out to the woods with out pre-planning.
