Republicans Demand Biden Tell Them Why They Are Impeaching Him
In an irate letter to the White House, Kevin McCarthy* and other congressional Republicans have demanded that President Biden reveal why they are impeaching him.
The letter claims that, after Republicans announced their impeachment inquiry, “the White House has stubbornly refused to provide us with any reasons for our doing so.”
The Republicans go on to demand that Biden reveal the rationale for his ouster “immediately, or face the consequences.”
“The American people are waiting, Mr. President, for you to explain to us why we are impeaching you,” the letter concludes. “Your silence will not be forgiven.”
It’s getting harder to even imagine a fully functional [bipartisan] Congress that doesn’t waste time and money on baseless, biased, subjective investigations of members of their duly elected peers/leaders in the “other” party. Perhaps there should be a mandatory objective vetting process before people can be declared to be candidates by a private party … as there is in most successful non-government organizations followed by a trial period to prove their competence once elected. Should an investigation be outsourced to an apolitical judicial agency, so that Congressmembers can do the collaborative legislative public service jobs they were elected to perform?
Not a “slow walk”. They don’t have facts and don’t want them. Just the idea that they can beat the drum and make any assertion or allegation is enough. The less proof the better.
I caught the latest Ted Rall Does ALL the Talking and Thinking DMZ. As usual, Ted tries to convince himself that Ukraine stands no chance against Russia, an interesting idea when compared to how well they did against Afghanistan. Ted is completely disingenuous about this conversation, never acknowledging just the simple struggle the last 75 years over the definition of “victory” in conflict. I’ve heard him speak on this subject, probably 20 times, and I have never caught a minute of him addressing the truest truth. Honestly, it is at this spot, where you find how much Ted is consumed with winning arguments over mining for truth. Ted is good at arguing. He is very knowledgeable. But he uses it to attain his own, early 20th Century era, “Reds,” the Sims world.
President Biden will eat their lunch and show just how sharp and capable he is to continue leading the nation. The Repubs will prove just how much they need to be removed from their positions of power. This could be a big win, win for Biden.

Because, among other things, there won’t be anything to have a dramatic moment ABOUT.

Democrats need their own attack dog to go after republican politicians who have shown to be shady to some degree. Play them at their own game.

There might just be one other tiny little reason, Ted.
Hint: it ain’t the approach.

A.F.Branco typically draws the faces of those he dislikes hatefully distorted. It is a technique I really find disgusting.
On a side note, I haven’t seen Mr. Biden drooling.

Biden can’t articulate anything. He always sounds as though his mouth if full of marbles and the space between his ears is filled with mush.

I’d call this “inquiry” a Show Trial, but there isn’t even a show. The repubs just want a vehicle to provide baseless sound bites for the media.
