She deserved a better end than she got. I was impressed with her from when I first became aware of her existence (during the hearings). When she retired, I was surprised, but now I know how she died, perhaps she was starting to feel the first symptoms of her senile dementia.
She was a pioneer for women and a class act. That was a bad way to go. Alzheimer’s kills the patient before it kills the body. I’ve seen it more than a few times.
That she was nominated was one of the few good decisions Reagan made during his presidency. That Alito replaced O’Conner may be why Deering considers her as signaling the twilight of SCOTUS ethics.
She understood the nuances of life. While she was personally against abortion, she voted for Roe v. Wade because she – unlike some others we could mention – was able to see the viewpoint of others.

I thought she trampled on those when she declared Bush 2 the winner?

I like how she changed during her time on the bench.

Well, I’m sure the GOP is cheering, if only silently. Now, Kevin can start the search for the next “T Loving”, SCOTUS rep.

She’e carrying the ethics with her. That’s why the court has no ethics.
