If Hamas is the leaders of the people in Gaza, it is their responsibility to protect them, not Israel’s. As it is, Hamas prefers dead Palestinians to gain sympathy and recruits after, of course, committing violent and deplorable terrorist attacks directed directly at civilians in Israel.
Don’t get me wrong, and eye for an eye, has never been good policy. Especially, when the leaders of both sides sit comfortably at home far from the carnage. Heck, the Hamas leaders even took time to travel to Russia to visit their buddy Putin.
Except that Gaza is a tiny, tiny place (40 square miles) and the most densely populated area on earth. The city I live in is 50% larger in area, with only 1/7 as many people. So where, exactly, is Hamas supposed to locate that isn’t near civilians?
Those that are killing children have no claim to moral superiority, nor does their “cause”. Make the argument about what it should be: “Is killing children acceptable?”
Strange. Mr. Rall defends Putin when the Russian army uses the same tactic of deliberately attacking civilian targets in Ukraine even though the Ukrainians had done nothing to precipitate the Russian invasion other than desiring to maintain their independence of Russia.
Netanyahu’s policies brought about this latest ‘war’. He has violated agreements made in 1948 that established Israel. We should not ignore Netanyahu’s settlements in lands that were agreed not to be settled by Israel. Netanyahu’s ‘Hitleresque’ policies of ‘Lebensraum’ are to take lands with settlers for Israel’s growth, ’more “elbow room”. In the end, two wrongs do not make a right.
Have you any idea of how stupid this cartoon is? Are you CONDONING that HAMAS hide in hospitals etc.? How many modern militaries do you see do that? HAMAS is scum.
Israel’s claim is that Hamas puts command centers and other important resources underground beneath buildings such as hospitals, so that targeting them entails targeting civilian facilities as well. Given that Hamas apparently has a very extensive network of tunnels, presumably it could continue to operate underground without putting buildings like hospitals directly in harm’s way. Not happy with what Israel is doing, but on the other hand, not sure what a good alternative for them is under the circumstances. Israel needs better leadership, but the Palestinians, who have always had bad leadership, do as well.

Strange how the people who started the massacre are getting the sympathy. Something terribly wrong with that after the atrocities they committed.

They did bomb themselves when the rocket landed in the hospital parking lot.

Hamas does bomb itself – then blames Israel.

So Mr. Rall are you saying it is OK for Hamas to embed themselves in the civilian population???

MSM: “Israel claims that Hamas is using Al Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza as a hiding place, a claim that Hamas denies.”
Well, if Hamas denies it, it couldn’t be true. Right, foolish Democrats?
Perhaps if they try really hard, Hamas can find some women’s skirts elsewhere to hide behind.

No one’s hands are clean, not Hamas, not the Netanyahu government, and not those in the rest of the world using this for proxy battles.

How about you not put missile launchers on hospitals and on playgrounds? How about you not use civillians as human shields?

Guess where Israel puts its military and political infrastructure? But that’s okay because they’re not “terrorists”.
