The sad part is that with so many republican state governors, gerrymandering, voter-suppression, purging of voter rolls (in Dem. areas only), a SCOTUS in the bag and with millions of MAGA voters just waiting, the repubs might win everything next year.

They could solve this speaker problem tomorrow if 10 Republicans just not show up to vote.

My understanding is that during this polling the recipients also answered the same to the idea of empty suit Newsom being president. (Caution, this is not a whataboutism about the GQP’s massive dysfunction. I am just taking an opportunity to pop a shot at a regular target of Ohman, who is housed in CA. I do not create whataboutisms as a matter of intellectual integrity and adulthood. Please do not react to my comment in a simplistic and binary matter, my dash, met with a dot.)

Defendant Trump would probably take the job, thinking that would put all his many criminal and civil prosecutions on hold.

It’s pretty much a Given that either of the last two would be an improvement over anything they’ve come up with so far.

Maybe, if they ask real nice, Rudy Giuliani just might take the job.
