They have been taking land from the Palestinians for decades with a blockade stopping ships. No sympathy from me.

Extremists on both sides have monopolized the narrative and the merry-go-round of revenge and retaliation. Sad times.

all to say absolutely nothing other than Hamas did something bad to Israel, after most people had already read about it saturday or sunday.

At root, the problem is that the Israelis and Palestinians have fallen into the universal right-wing trap: that grievances can only be addressed by cruelty, hatred, suppression, & violence.

What is wrong with people, both posting here and the squad etc. 700 innocent people killed, and over 2000 wounded. These poor souls were not soldiers fighting at the directive of their government. Honestly you people make me sick.

Hamas viciously kills 700+ civilians, wounds thousands, takes hostages, massacres concertgoers, and rains 4,000 missiles indiscriminately on Israeli cities. Most of the victims are Jews. Many of you have made pro-Hamas and pro-Palestinian comments just today. Many of you have leveled the smears listed above toward those of us who have a different vision of American than you. Who are the real Nazis?

When General Patreus was named head of the forces in Afghanistan, just before the “surge” where we handed bunches of weapons to warlords in hopes they would join us in our quest to re-make it in our image, it was reported that 90,000 US weapons were unaccounted for. Given how well we are informed by the Pentagon, I’m guessing that was a serious undercount.
