It’s not checkmate, unless the man is too stupid to find the obvious escape (no matter which white piece belongs to which side). Moreover, the cat doesn’t even have a king.

I was just saying, over on Fur Babies that cats’ assumption of superiority is justified.

Some people are always looking for the opportunity to point out details that don’t matter.

Whatever this is, it isn’t chess.

Naturally when I was a beginner at chess, I sucked a lot and kept losing. Poker was a different story because the first time I played it, I did pretty good. If it’s a game of chance where you’re shuffling cards or rolling dice, the odds don’t mean much if you’re a beginner.

Given that a cat is playing, I expect the pieces will, at one point, be knocked off the board and end up all over the floor.
