Leaf burning was Banned around here years ago , And yes I miss the smell of burning leaves , Rakeing up the leaves from 8 100 year old Poplar trees not so much!
I’ve had trees removed. Others in the neighborhood have fallen down in storms and the electric company has cut down a lot. So thankfully I have very few leaves anymore. In the spring, I hire a landscape company to clean up the yard. I have a large front garden.
I hate the smell of smoldering leaves! It gives me a sinus headache! ‘Burning’ leaves ISN’T allowed in Toledo, which is one thing better than where it was allowed, where I used to live!
No! Compost the leaves so they return to the Earth. Burning leaves only contributes to particulate matter in the air and increases C02 levels, contributing to climate change. Just compost them!
Isn’t there enough burning of woods in America already? Why add even more smoke to the poor air quality? Set up a compost heap and let it lie until spring so it gives shelter to some critters, feeding the birds and other small animals.
i like the smell of burning leaves, but don’t like to arrive at our veggie patch in the morning and find it enveloped in impenetrable white smoke because our addled neighbor down the street is burning green grass and wet leaves. again…

So the tree knows he’s about to start a grass fire on his own lawn??

fire should really do a job on tree limbs above the pile , if not everywhere else that lit leaves can blow to ….

Looks like the kind of fool who is going to set the tree on fire.

People still burn leaves?

You’re going to light that fire that close to the tree?

Painful to watch your progeny go up in smoke. Leaf them alone

Not a good scene with all the wildfires the world has experienced! Try composting. It still probably releases CO2 but it is much less dangerous.

Isn’t it rather dangerous to light a fire so near a tree?
