    In the US individuals, regardless of where starting from, is expected to pull themselves up by the bootstraps. No bootstraps? Too bad.

    50 years ago the GOP was supposedly the party of No govt interference in personal freedoms and fiscal responsibility. Reagan began the killing of the first tenet and when the GOP finally get control of Congress they showed they also spent like drunken sailors. It all bottomed out during the Trump fiasco
