Yeah, my mini shar pei girl looks very much like a nasty pittie. But like sweet Nyla, she’s also a nervous teddy bear!!! (Not sure about Nyla, but Isabella was in an abusive home for her first year.)
Concerning “Nyla” in today’s Dog Gone Funny, that is basically the description of most pit bulls who have not been tortured by low life scums for fighting rings. Pitties are born lovable and will stay that way given the chance. ❤️
We found our Pittie, Houlie, on the streets. We didn’t know anything about Pits except the ‘If you look at them, they’ll attack’ stories, so we were a little concerned at first. We also had cats, and rescued a young kitten a short time later.
When the kitten walked up and swatted her on the nose, and while yes, she reacted (who wouldn’t react to getting punched in the face?), she stopped immediately. Houlie was a marshmallow.
