The only difference between Mr. Trump calling sham on the dozens of judges who have ruled against him & presided over trails he lost — and us doing it are the ethnic and religious slurs we don’t think about.

If she’s crooked, the world will see. If not, more better for the ever crucial optics of the thing.

i am sooooo confused. you would think with all the attention and historical concerns and everything else, she would try to do her best to address the actual rules of law and keep her dignity in the process. Wth. Wow, its like we are in an an episode of the twilight zone with a cross over of the outer limits with a dash of the house of mystery. Ms. Cannon, please step up your game or step off. Why would you destroy your reputation for a man who screws everyone, literally and financially.

Well, Judge Cannon’s first instruction to Trump to get his attorneys sorted out and through security checks in rapid fashion didn’t appear to be too Trumpian. Maybe, just maybe, the shadow of the 11th Circuit Court on her courtroom will have impact.

Not enough for the DNC to have the DOJ, FBI, Special prosecutor, and AG to do their bidding. They want to control the judge too.

Once they get that, it will be the jury.

If she pulls her crap here, it will be appealed, and then we will have a two for one sale. If it gets to the supreme court and they dismiss it, it is grounds for all the other violations to be reheard or dismissed, tie up the courts for years.

Judge Aileen Mercedes Cannon was appointed by Trump as a judge, who was working from a list of possible judges provided by the Federalist Society. Neither I nor Trump have a clue as to why she was placed on that list, but in vetting her for the job, Trump was obviously impressed with her ability in “ass-kissing”…

And now, I strongly suspect that Trump has mentioned the possibility of an appointment to the Supreme Court if she plays her cards right and he gets elected.

The upcoming trial is not ONLY for Trump, but for Judge Cannon, as well, and it will be “interesting” to see how each comports themselves under the public pressure which will be present…

We already know that Trump is guilty since he already admits to committing the crime – we just need to know HOW guilty, so there is little suspense on that score – which making watching the judicial machinations all the more interesting to watch.

For what it’s worth, she’s turned some of the duties over to her magistrate judge, who may himself be a trump hack:

“Bruce Reinhart was sworn in as a United States Magistrate Judge for the Southern District of Florida on March 14, 2018. Prior to taking the bench, he was in private practice for 10 years, both as a solo practitioner and as the co-chair of the white collar crime practice group of a national firm. His practice focused on white collar criminal defense and complex civil litigation. "

Jeff certainly caught the evil showing in the orange blob’s face.

I say, one more indictment and the blob makes a run for Nicaragua. Nauta can smuggle him past his detail, by hiding him in a piano crate.

I believe that her order that all the Lawyers get security clearances to view the documents for the trial is part of her plan to get him off with a mistrial.

‘The answer is not appeasement’: Mueller prosecutor goes off DOJ’s footdragging on Trump

Republicans in Congress have been pushing a narrative that President Joe Biden is using the Justice Department and the FBI to attack his foes. A new report in The Washington Post reveals that the opposite is the case. Despite piling evidence, state referrals, and months-long public congressional hearings, the DOJ held back.MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace explained that one of the understandings “for why we are here” is uncovering that the decisions that have been made thus far are “inherently political. Where the Barr Justice Department was aggressively, proactively, political through its actions, the Garland Justice Department has been equally political through inaction and through reluctance if there was truly a culture, as Carol reports, that saying Trump was taboo, that they were walking on eggshells because of who had committed the crime, that is a political culture.”

    Trump fake electors plot

A scheme was devised after the 2020 United States presidential election by former president Donald Trump and his allies in seven key states to create and submit fraudulent certificates of ascertainment that falsely asserted Trump had won the electoral college vote in those states. The intent of the scheme was to pass the fraudulent certificates to then-vice president Mike Pence in the hope he would count them, rather than the authentic certificates, and thus overturn Joe Biden’s victory. This effort was predicated on a fringe legal theory outlined by Trump attorney John Eastman in the Eastman memos, which claimed the vice president has constitutional discretion to swap out official electors with an alternate slate during the certification process, thus changing the outcome of the electoral college vote and the overall winner of the presidential race. This scheme came to be known as the Pence Card.

Trump’s personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, a “central figure” in the plot, coordinated the scheme across the seven states. In a conference call hosted by an election security watchdog group on January 2nd, Trump, Eastman, and Giuliani spoke to some 300 Republican state legislators in an effort to persuade them to convene special legislative sessions to replace legitimate Biden electors with fake Trump electors based on unfounded allegations of vote fraud; dozens of those legislators asked Pence to delay the election certification for that purpose. Trump pressured the Justice Department to falsely announce it had found election fraud, and he attempted to install a new acting attorney general who had drafted a letter falsely asserting such election fraud had been found in an attempt to persuade the Georgia legislature to convene and reconsider its Biden electoral votes.
